Privacy Policy
DomainRapid helps you generate available domain names with AI. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what the service actually needs.
Information we collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from that provider. You can also use the generator as a guest, without an account.
Usage data. The descriptions you enter, the names we generate, your saved searches, and your favorites, so we can return results, restore your searches, and keep your credit balance accurate.
Payment information. Purchases are handled by our payment processor, Polar. We never see or store your card details, only a record of which credit pack you bought and the resulting balance.
Technical data. We use a browser-derived device identifier and your IP address to apply rate limits and to attribute free credits, which protects the service from abuse.
How we use your data
- To generate names and check their availability against domain registries.
- To maintain your account, credits, searches, and favorites.
- To process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Analytics
We use a privacy-friendly, self-hosted analytics tool (Plausible) to understand aggregate traffic. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal information.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run the service:
- Polar for payment processing and checkout.
- Google and GitHub for sign-in, if you choose to use them.
- OpenRouter to route your description to an AI model that generates names.
- Domain registries (RDAP), queried to confirm a name is available.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who store data on our behalf.
We do not sell your personal data.
Cookies
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, after which we remove your personal data except where we must retain records for legal or accounting reasons (for example, proof of purchase).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe and limit access to it.
Children
DomainRapid is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a clearer notice.
